We specialize in short and midrange loads that are time sensitive and usually within a 500-mile radius of one of our terminals. We do however, make routine deliveries to the West Coast, Canada and run dedicated equipment for customers who require it. Usher Transport’s customers range from Fortune 500 Chemical and Oil Companies to a number of smaller distributors and jobbers.

Rail Services Division

The Usher Transport Rail Services Division was established in the Summer of 1996 to serve the Railroad Industry. It specializes in Direct Truck to Locomotive (DTL) Refueling, currently operating sites located in Cleveland, OH, Shire Oaks, PA, Conway, PA, Bellevue, OH, Danville, KY, Binghamton, NY, Knoxville, TN, Pittsburg, PA, and Bensenville, IL. These sites service locomotives for Class 1 Railroads, Norfolk Southern and Canadian Pacific/Soo. The newest component of the Rail Division is MARTTS or Mid America Rail Truck Transfer Systems. They currently operate a multi product bulk transfer facility in Louisville, KY.

Future plans of the division are additional refueling sites with other railroads, expansion into Fleet Refueling services and growth in it’s bulk transfer facilities.

Emergency Fueling

Usher Transport has been providing emergency fueling support since 2008.

Our main function it is transporting fuel from outside the affected area and transfer product to straight tank trucks that fuel generators, lineman trucks and municipality emergency vehicles. Long hauling ahead of the storm to our customers filling stations is a major part of our support for the evacuation of local population. And resupplying stations after the disaster.

Though we are a nationwide carrier, our areas of operation allow us to recruit from both regional and local settings which provides our drivers and owner-operators the diversity and choice to run over-the-road, regional, dedicated, as well as locally.

The majority of our fleet spends less than two nights per week on overnight travel with most loads being either a one-day or day and a half trip. If you like to stay out a little longer, we can do that as well. One thing we can guarantee you is that you will not be out on a 7 to 14 day dispatch as with most carriers.

We are always open to accepting applications for any driving position within the company whether you are an owner-operator or company driver.
